Take Drivers Education in New Jersey

A) Enroll in a State-Approved Drivers Ed Course

Look online for a drivers ed course. Teen drivers who are 16 years old must go through drivers ed to get a student learner’s permit. If you’re 17 or older, driver training isn’t required but it will prepare you for the written knowledge test.

B) Complete Drivers Education

Pass drivers education before applying for a New Jersey student learner's permit. That way, whether the state requires you to take the course, you can ace the permit test with your newly attained knowledge of traffic laws, road signs, safe-driving practices and more.
