Practice Driving in Texas
A) Get On the Road
With a Texas learner’s license you can only drive with a licensed driver who is 21 years old or older, has at least 1 year of experience driving, and is sitting beside the driver.
If you are younger than 18 years old, you can apply for a provisional license after you have had your learner's permit for 6 months. Other than required driver's education, there is no requirement of supervised driving practice.
