Take Drivers Education in Vermont

If you're 16 or 17 years old, completing a state-approved driver education course is required before applying for a junior operator's license. Drivers ed may be the most important class you ever take, teaching you lifelong safe driving skills. In addition, you'll also learn:

  • Vermont traffic laws
  • Road sign identification
  • Parallel parking
  • Passing techniques and much more

Before enrolling, double-check with the DMV that the drivers ed class you're considering meets state approval. After passing the course, be sure to get a certificate of completion. This will serve as your verification when applying for a Vermont junior operator's license.
