Take Drivers Education in Washington

All teen drivers under 18 are required to complete a state-approved drivers education class, or what in Washington is known as Traffic Safety Education (TSE), prior to applying for a drivers license. In the class you'll gain valuable driving experience under the guidance of a certified instructor, while learning:

  • WA traffic laws
  • Washington road sign identification
  • Parallel parking (the main road test stumbling block)
  • Driving safety tips and much more

After completing the course you'll need proof of enrollment. Be sure to obtain a certificate of completion from your instructor. Without proof you won't be allowed to schedule a driving test appointment.
